Here are some TED talks that we recommend for mental health clinicians to watch. We should consider recommending particular ones to persons with mental disorders and to those who love them and/or work with them.
Of these, the TED talk I have recommended the most to my patients, as part of psychotherapy, is
TED talk (video): Three A’s of Awesome
Some tips on this
1. As in most things, coming up with a list of lots of videos on each topic is counterproductive. Instead, we have carefully selected only the very best TED talks in each category. If you have suggestions on TED talks that are exceptionally helpful, please post them at the bottom of this page under “Leave a Reply.”
2. Don’t recommend all of these talks to any person. That will almost certainly make it LESS likely that the person will watch even one of them. Instead, only recommend the particular one that is likely to be most helpful to that particular person.
