When patients tell us that a test result or their blood pressure was “normal”

If only I had a dollar for every time a patient told me that some type of test result or their blood pressure was “normal,” but this later turned out to not be true!

How often do your patients say to you something like the following?

– Their blood pressure was recently measured when they saw another clinician, and “It was normal.”

– They had laboratory tests done within the last few months and “Everything was normal.”
