Ways of using the person’s name, and of others in their life, to build rapport

As clinicians, we know that in all interactions with patients, it is important to pay attention to the relationship and build rapport with the patient.

Building rapport is not simply a matter of the clinician’s personality; it is also a skill that can be learned and improved with training and practice.
