How are hydroxyzine pamoate (Vistaril®) and hydroxyzine hydrochloride (Atarax®) different?

Question from a Member: Can you speak to the therapeutic difference between hydroxyzine HCL and pamoate? Are they different from the standpoint of the treatment of anxiety?
