Psychotropic medications and glaucoma

From one of our Members: A female patient of mine, age 65, in excellent health, on no other medication, was on sertraline 200 mg per day for severe depression. On a trip overseas,  she developed acute severe eye pain and was diagnosed with acute closed-angle glaucoma. She received emergency bilateral iridectomies to save her sight….
