It is helpful for clinicians to know which specific websites to recommend to their patients who need some nutritional/dietary advice. Here are just a few examples:
– Patients who have gained weight on psychiatric medications
– Patients who may have specific nutritional deficiencies due to their diet
– Patients who have diabetes mellitus or hypertension
– Patients should increase their protein intake, including older adults and patients who are on a GLP-1 receptor agonist
– Patients who have had gastric bypass surgery
Recommend Eatright.org
Eatright.org is run by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, which is, in their own words, “the world’s largest organization of nutrition and dietetics practitioners” (emphasis in red added by us). Most important among these are Registered Dietitians (RDs), also called Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs).
Note: The organization has several websites with similar URLs, but the website that is relevant to our patients and to us is eatright.org.

Look under ALL the menus
For example, guidance about protein intake is found under the “Food” menu, the “Health” menu, the “Seniors” menu, and so on.
I hope you will take a look and let us know what you think would be helpful to your patients and what is missing.
