Some psychiatric medications can cause ‘dry orgasms’

Some psychiatric medications can be associated with minimal or no semen emerging from the penis, even though the man experiences ejaculatory spasms. This condition is sometimes referred to as ‘dry orgasms.’ This is a serious problem because it leads to psychological distress and often to infertility.  What could be going on? Is no semen being produced? If it is, where is it going? What test should we order to identify the correct diagnosis?
