Is lumateperone really less likely to cause extrapyramidal symptoms (including parkinsonism or akathisia)?

In another article on this website, we noted a few reasons why lumateperone’s pharmacological profile would lead us to expect it to be associated with a lower incidence of motor side effects. But, a lot of fancy explanations don’t pan out in human clinical trials. So, let’s look at what actually happened in clinical trials….
