A patient with elevated WBC, absolute neutrophil, and platelet counts

When I got the laboratory test results back for one of my patients with bipolar I disorder, I noted that there was an elevation of the white blood cell count (leucocytosis), absolute neutrophil count (neutrophilia), and platelet count (thrombocytosis). But the patient denied feeling physically sick or having a fever. What could be going on?
