How should lithium-induced hypothyroidism be evaluated?

On other pages (see Related Pages below), we introduced the topic of thyroid disorders associated with lithium use and discussed the incidence of lithium-induced hypothyroidism (about 10% for lithium-induced clinical hypothyroidism and about 25 to 33% for lithium-induced subclinical hypothyroidism.
