Jennifer Reid

Jennifer Reid, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist who is in private practice in the Philadelphia area (her private practice website is www.jenniferreidmd.com) and is on the adjunct faculty at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she teaches psychiatry residents, particularly regarding psychopharmacology.

Her areas of clinical interest include anxiety and mood disorders, sleep disorders, and interpersonal psychotherapy.

Regarding her training, Dr. Reid completed her internship in internal medicine and her residency in psychiatry at the University of California, Los Angeles. She then completed the UCLA Deutsch Mood Disorders Fellowship.

For several years, she was as a staff psychiatrist at the LA County Department of Health. Then, she joined the faculty of the department of psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania where she was the medical director of the outpatient psychiatry clinic as well as a clinician-educator.

Dr. Reid was recognized for her teaching with the Earl Bond Award for Excellence in Clinical Education from the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Psychiatry in 2018, and with the Faculty Award for Excellence in Clinical Education from the Department of Family Medicine in 2019.
