Question from a Member:
I’m asking about online testing for ADHD. The latest one I learned about is Qbtech. While I think objective data is useful, I’m concerned about the validity of using these online tests to make a diagnosis.
Qbtech, QbCheck, and QbTest
Just to get the terms straight, Qbtech is the name of the company, and they offer two different types of testing for ADHD: QbCheck and QbTest.
Both these tests are FDA-cleared for use in patients between the ages of 6 and 60 for two purposes: the diagnosis of ADHD and evaluation of response to treatment by comparison to baseline.
The reason why it may be helpful for clinicians to know at least a little bit about these tests, even if we don’t intend to use them in our own practices, is that we are exposed to advertising, booths at conferences, and questions from patients or family members.
