Which psychiatric medications need to be stopped before a DaT scan?

One of the patients in my outpatient clinical practice is being treated by me for bipolar I disorder, depressed. It is a complicated case, very difficult to treat, and she is currently on several psychiatric medications including divalproex (Depakote®), olanzapine (Zyprexa®; which, by the way, I very rarely prescribe), quetiapine (Seroquel®), and bupropion (Wellbutrin® XL)….
