Dr. Sheehan was formerly Professor of Psychiatry, Director of Psychiatric Research, and Director of the Depression and Anxiety Disorders Research Institute at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He is internationally recognized as a leading expert in psychopharmacology and had been working in recent years in particular on the problem of suicidal behavior. He is the author of Suicidality Assessment and Documentation for Healthcare Providers: A Brief, Practical Guide, and Suicidality: A Roadmap for Assessment and Treatment, the Sheehan Suicidality Tracking Scale, the Tampa – Classification Algorithm for Suicidality Assessment (T-CASA) Version 5.1, etc. He was interviewed by Rajnish Mago, MD in November, 2016.
